Ngorongoro Crater

Expansive and Breathtaking...

Since 1959 the Ngorongoro Crater has been a convservation area.

Roughly the size of the Isle of Crete, the vast plains is protects wildlife and is home to humans. It is a part of the Serengeti eco-system, and adjoins the Serengeti National Park.

The Crater has approximately 25,000 large migratory animals, and boasts the highest mammal predator population in Africa. During the peak of the Great Migration, 1.7 million wildebeest, 470,000 gazelles and 260,000 zebra pass through the Crater.


It is a sight to behold!
