Lake Victoria is the largest tropical lake and the second largest freshwater lake in the world. Despite being one of the largest lakes in the world (About the same size as Ireland), it is massively shallow and its deepest point is only 100 meters.

Tarangire National Park in Tanzania is a very good place to see these huge trees in their natural environment. These trees can grow to be 1000 years old.

Mpingo tree, found in Tanzania produces the expensive timber in the world. It has exceptional mechanical properties that make it perfect for carving and it has a beautiful finish.
